How we make money.
Vantage Foundry sells two kinds of thing. Proprietary items, which we built and which we sell directly. And curated items, which we didn't build and which are sold by someone else.
On most curated items we use an affiliate link. That means if you buy through us, we earn a commission from the partner. It does not change the price you pay. It does not change which items we list.
The rule.
We would recommend every item in the catalogue without the commission. That's the bar. Anything that wouldn't pass that bar isn't here, no matter what the commission rate is.
We've turned down affiliate offers from products we use, because we don't think they're broadly applicable. And we list things that pay us nothing - the partner doesn't have a programme, or we cover the cost ourselves to recommend the right tool. The Standard is the only gate.
Where the links live.
On any page in the catalogue, items tagged Curated are sold by third parties and may use affiliate links. Items tagged Proprietary are made and sold by Vantage Foundry directly - no affiliate involved.
The card itself tells you who runs the checkout: a curated item will say "via The Contract Shop", "via Maven", and so on. The CTA opens the partner's site in a new tab.
If a tool stops meeting the Standard.
It comes down. That has happened twice. We don't issue a press release, we just remove it. If you bought it through us and it later fails on you, write to us - we'll help where we can, and where we can't, we'll point you to a partner who can.
